The contents of your net will vary each week, according to the season, always giving you the best value possible. There is no such thing as a typical net but in the summer expect things like juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce, spinach, beans and peas, and in the winter parsnips, leeks, cabbage, mushrooms and squash. Most weeks there will also be 'staple' vegetables such as potatoes, carrots and onions.
Why go Organic?
Buying a weekly net of organic vegetables is best for everyone. Organic farming is an environmentally responsible method of food production - protecting the soil, wildlife habitats and water-courses of our beautiful countryside whilst producing nutritious, chemical-free food for you. Organic farmers are also committed to high standards of animal welfare, and through good practice provide safe animal produce. So by eating organic food you will not only be helping to safeguard the environment for future generations, but you will also be feeding your family safe and healthy food.
All produce comes from organic farms certified by UK government permitted inspection bodies such as the Soil Association. At certain times of year (usually between march and June) when there is little local produce available, your net may contain certain imported items, whose origin is certified by the appropriate European body.
